A banner that reads "747-8, The Shape of the Future," hangs near the 747 assembly line during the shift change at Boeing's Everett, Wash. assembly facility, in this Nov. 15, 2005 file photo. 2005 was a good year to sell airplanes for Boeing, as the company survived an assembly worker strike and is on track to sell more planes this year than its archrival Airbus SAS for the first time in five years. The 747-8 will be a more fuel-efficient version of the 747 double-decker plane and is intended to compete with the Airbus A380.
